Abstract

My paper "Reality and Illusion/ A Study of the Dialectic Metaphoric Structuring and its Appearance in the Poetry of Adeeb Kamaleddin" studies the dialectic of opposite dichotomy that has existed between the concepts of reality and illusion in the structure of metaphorical formation, choosing thus the poetry of Adeeb Kamaleddin's poetry as a model in this study which derives its significance from the poet's contemporary artistic vision of the afore-mentioned dichotomy.Due to the nature of the study, it is divided into two sections and a conclusion. Section one deals with the employment of vision in the metaphorical formation in terms of being an existing gist of illusion, reviewing the technical analysis via poetic instances of Adeeb Kamaleddin. The second section tackles the employment of vision in the metaphorical formation as an example of reality in other poetic extracts by Adeeb Kamaleddin. The paper ends with a conclusion that sums up the most important findings of the study.Moreover, I have got the topics of the study from various references as Adeeb Kamaleddin's poetry collections which formed the practical side of the study as well as others that focus on the impact of formation on the visions of Iraqi poets, in addition to sources that deal with vision and formation in contemporary Arabic poetry among others.
