In light of the dire conditions experienced by the Ethiopian people under the dictatorial rule of Emperor Haile Selassie, the Ethiopian students, within their commitment to the most progressive horizon, contributed to the avant- garde contribution in opposing the regime by demonstrating their ability to demonstrate and openly challenge the ruling regime to demand the rights of the Ethiopian people . from 1960 as a result of several internal factors, including the 1960 military coup, the armed struggle led by the Eritrean liberation front in 1961, and unemployment among the graduate students, and external factors represented by the foreign students who came to study in Ethiopia and their role in the political awareness of Ethiopian students, This was a decisive factor in demonstrating their opposition despite the use of brutal methods to suppress these demonstrations. The Ethiopian student movement has been instrumental in opening up broad horizons for the Ethiopian people who suffered from the media blockade imposed by the ruling regime to stifle the struggle of the Ethiopian people, has this culminated in the 1974 revolt that overthrew the Emperor Haile Selassie, and the students were instrumental in that revolt, which resulted in the fall of Emperor Haile Selassie`s government. It is a problem that does not have any less danger than the rest of the problems that threaten the entity of society. Therefore, it is considered one of the complex phenomena that have repercussions on human’s social and economic conditions. The Iraqi society did not enjoy its rights throughout the Ottoman rule. The signs of misery, deprivation, and suffering were clear on people’s lives even after the establishment of the modern Iraqi state on August 23, 1921. Which made this problem worse, especially in the last years of the British Mandate due to the effects of “the great depression” and its effects in Iraq until the fall of the entire monarchy in 1958 . The monarchy was depriving the Iraqi people of their rights, despite the possibilities they had during the reign of King Faisal I, King Ghazi, who came after him, and King Faisal II, the last of Iraqi kings tried helping people by feeding them and listening to their complaints.
